Giuseppe Porcaro is a geographer, a writer and a political scientist. He heads the communications’ team of Bruegel, the European think tank specialising in economic policy.
He comes originally from Naples (IT) and lives in Brussels (BE) since 2007. Giuseppe explores the links between the concepts of future, utopia, hope and their geopolitical and social patterns. And he has recently written DISCO SOUR, a speculative fiction novel about breakups, Europe and democracy in the age of the algorithms.
Giuseppe served as Secretary General of the European Youth Forum between 2009 and 2014 and he holds a PhD in Geography of Development from the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. Throughout his career, he developed competences in strategic communications, management, research, editorial processes, politics, European public affairs, advocacy, and speculative fiction writing.
